Grown Up Night

So, I have not written in awhile. It may be the fact that I just worked four night shifts in a row, or it may be the fact that I never have time to do anything anymore! Anyway...tonight my husband and I sent our little one off to grandma and grandpas for a sleepover, and we are having a few friends over to have some adult time and to drink some good wine! I am definitely in need of a carefree kind of night. My little girl wil be home after going to church with gram and gramp tomorrow morning...which means mommy and daddy get to sleep in! Bring on the wine!

First Post

So I've started a blog! I figure that this is a good way to get my creative juices flowing, let off some steam and start writing again. It has taken me forever just to write this first post, mostly because I am a busy mom to a 10 month old and also because I was not sure what to write. So, I have decided to start with an introduction. My husband and I have been married for a year. We have a beautiful 10 month old baby girl who brightens our lives more and more everyday! I am a registered nurse and I work part time in labor and delivery. Two 12 hour shifts a week, and the rest of the time I am home with my daughter. This part time thing is working out quite well for us, as I am keeping up my nursing skills but still am home with my daughter most of the time. When I am at work, my daughter is with one of her grandparents. It gives them time alone with her and they love it! And, who can beat free child care?!?! We are very lucky and we know it! In addition to my husband, daughter and I, we have a 9 month old lab puppy and two Persian cats. Oh yea...and a fish! I love my crazy busy life! So...that's my first post!
